Welcome

Exploring the various interactions of politics and the media in an age of increasing globalization is the overarching theme of my research. Trained as a political scientist, I have always tried to innovatively combine different approaches and I have found those questions the most interesting that transcended disciplinary boundaries.

My main research interests lie in political communication, the politics of European integration and the EU, and comparative political behaviour more generally. Individual projects have also dealt with social issues (abortion) and immigration.

The content of this website is no longer updated as my professional path has taken me to new places and the topics I am working on have shifted. Yet the website will remain accessible and serve as a repository of my work in comparative politics. Related questions can still be directed to me via the contact form.

Publications related to my current work as a researcher at the statistical office of Lucerne in the areas of social security, poverty and poverty reduction, and the socio-economic situation of the population in general are available here.
